Bodhisattva

In the writings of G. DePurucker, a leader of that Theosophical community in San Diego, California, LomaLand, or the “Point Loma Society” are describes renunciation. He writes of the Summer Solstice. In that text he lists two types of people who attain to a level of advanced spiritual development. The first type becomes a Pratyeka-Buddha and is absorbed in the beauty, glory and wonder of the spiritual life, and proceed to Nirvana. There they await the next chain of existence to later become the second type. That second type of spiritually advanced person becomes a Buddha of Compassion, or a Bodhisattva. These Bodhisattvas, turn backwards on the Path, to be beneficent forces for the spiritual and intellectual life of Humanity, sacrificing their own chances for advancement. They remain as a helpful spiritual fire, seeing the truth beyond Nirvana, channeling compassion.

New Moon in October 2018

Back at Harmony Place after rejuvenation in the Unnamed Path’s amazing workshops and meditations held at the 2018 Stone and Stang spiritual event in the Santa Cruz, CA area.  New beginnings, new empowerment.  My choice is to be of service to others.  At home I was greeted by blossoms for me and the hummingbirds.
